Welcome to the website of the Dunblane and Stirling Beekeepers Association. Consisting of around 80 members, we support beekeepers from all over the centre of Scotland, from just north of Edinburgh in the South, to Perth in the North. Callendar and Kippen in the West through to Tillicoultry and Dollar in the East.
New members are always made warmly welcome! Please contact the secretary, Peter Hunt, pd dot hunt at virgin dot net, for more information.
During the summer months, we meet at various members apiaries (bee hives), or the associations own apiary in the grounds of Stirling University. Over the autumn and winter, we meet at Dunblane Cathedral Halls, generally on the third Tuesday of the month, at 19:30. Please do contact the secretary however, as any of these arrangements could have to be altered at short notice!
We are a varied group, using all manner of hives and equipment to keep bees and produce honey. We run new beekeepers courses, microscopy evenings and plenty more, including an annual honey show.
Please do contact us if you are interesting in attending a meeting or want to learn more about becoming a beekeeper in the central Scotland region.
